Devotional: Day 869

Greetings,

Even when Israel sinned and moved away from the protection of God’s grace and favor, He was still very angry with those who had attacked them. Yes, His people had sinned, but God was still displeased with their enemies who had treated them so poorly. He never enjoys seeing us suffer. In fact, when His people were exposed to harsh treatment, they returned to God. Aren’t you glad that if we’ll return to Him after we’ve messed up, God will still hear our cry for help?

God also promised to deliver His people and allow them to once again “possess their possessions.” In other words, He was going to restore what they had lost because of their sinful actions. Listen to Obadiah’s message of hope:

Obadiah 1:17 (NKJV) – “But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

Thank You, Lord, for loving and caring for Your people. If we’ll return to you after doing wrong, You will quickly accept us and restore what the enemy has stolen from us.

Today, I’m worshiping with Kurt Carr and “For Every Mountain.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
