Greetings,
Have you ever tried to do something you could easily do, but someone keeps getting in your way by trying to tell you what to do? Do we sometimes get in God’s way by frantically telling Him the way we think it should be done?
So, God just waits until we grow tired of trying to fix it ourselves. He will stand back and do nothing until we’re ready to let Him be God.
Perhaps that’s why He spoke these words to Jehoshaphat:
2 Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV) – “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, STAND STILL and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.”
Father, help us to be quiet and stand still as we put our trust in You. Not only do You know what needs to be done, but You know better than anyone else how to do it. Thank You for loving me so much, You delight in fixing it for me!
