Devotional: Day 877

Greetings,

When you are first saved, one thing the enemy will tell you is that you must be perfect. Then when you fail and realize that you’re still living in a weak and imperfect body, he will tell you that you’ve sinned and God has rejected you. His next lie is to make you feel overwhelmed with shame.

So, how can you defeat the enemy? I have learned that we can live in a continual state of repentance. All we have to say is: “Lord, forgive me in every way that I have failed You.” This is how David asked to be forgiven:

Psalm 51:1 (NKJV) – “Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.”

Father, today I thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses my heart from all sin. Forgive me where I have failed You. I thank You today that I am clean in Your sight because of the sacrifice of my Lord and Savior.

Today, I’m worshiping with Donnie McClurkin and “Create in Me a Clean Heart.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
