Greetings,
Knowing God! Have you ever stopped to consider what a privilege it is to know Him? We’ve all heard someone try to impress us by dropping the name of an important or famous person they know. But think of it….we know God! No one on our speed dial could even come close to His level of importance, whether it’s a movie actor, a billionaire, or even the President of our nation.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NKJV) – “Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; [24] But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.”
When someone enjoys name dropping, we can’t help but wonder how well they really know that person. The beauty of ‘knowing’ God is more than just having a casual acquaintance with Him. It means that we know Him personally and intimately and that He has invited us to build an awesome relationship with Him!
