Greetings,
How many times have you discovered there was a ‘purpose’ for your pain? Paul explained to the Philippian Church that his chains and subsequent imprisonment had actually advanced the Kingdom of God and caused the Gospel to flourish and grow. When we face situations that should cripple and bring us to our knees, others are watching and will take notice when we remain strong.
Philippians 1:12-14 (NKJV) – “But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, [13] so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are IN CHRIST; [14] and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.”
Let your suffering be for Christ. Rather than complain, why not respond as Paul did in his worst dilemma: “It is for the advancement of the Gospel.” If God can be glorified by what’s happening to me, I will gladly endure it for Him!
Heavenly Father, I’ve often asked to be delivered from my trials. But if You can be glorified through them, give me grace to stand firm for You. In Jesus’ Name, be exalted in my life this day!
Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “He Loved Me.”
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
