Devotional: Day 929

Greetings,

I will never forget the times I have spent in the desert. I’m talking about the “real” desert where there were no trees, no buildings, no shelter or shade. It doesn’t take long for your strength to be sapped right out of you.

Equally miserable is to be stuck in a drenching, freezing downpour without shelter or even a jacket or umbrella. It doesn’t take long to be ‘chilled to the bone.’

Isaiah 4:6 (NKJV) – “And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.”

God’s Presence can become a tabernacle from the heat and cold and a shelter from the wind and storm. As believers, we should learn to go straight to Him at the first sign of difficulty or challenge.

Father, I thank You for the shelter of Your Holy Presence during the difficult times of life. You sustain me and give me a covering when the storms of life are raging. Help me to rush into the shelter of Your Presence when troubles come. I worship You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Leeland and “My Worship.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
