Greetings,
The enemy loves to remind us of our past and the many mistakes we have made. He tells us that God could never bless or use us after making so many wrong choices. If he continually speaks those lies to me, I’m sure he does the same to you. But notice what God’s Word says:
Ezekiel 18:21-22 (NKJV) – “But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. [22] None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live.”
No matter how wicked we may have been in the past, when we turn to God and begin to live for Him, none of those thoughts, words, or deeds will be remembered against us. Jesus’ death on the cross has given us a fresh start. Yes, we will make more mistakes; but if we will turn to Him in humility and repentance, they too will be cancelled by His blood. Isn’t our God amazing!
Lord, I thank You for being such a forgiving God and for erasing the sins of my past. Thank You for loving me and giving me a new start!
