Devotional: Day 938

Greetings,

Have you ever noticed how people begin to imitate the things they worship? If we worship a god that has no life, our spirit will eventually die. We will be unable to hear the life-giving voice of God as He speaks to us. Our own words will also produce death, rather than life.

Psalm 135:15-18 (NKJV) – “The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. [16] They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see;  [17] They have ears, but they do not hear; Nor is there any breath in their mouths. [18] Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them.”

Whenever we trust in things that have no ability to help our situation, we’re sure to be disappointed. In a time of need or a crisis, why should we depend on anything other than the one true God?

Lord, I thank You for being a living God of power, majesty, and strength. When I trust in You, I know I’ll never be disappointed. Thank You for being who You are!

Today, I’m worshiping with Dante Bowe and “Real Thing.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
