Greetings,
Paul asked his good friend, Philemon, to add whatever wrong his runaway servant Onesimus had committed to his (Paul’s) account. Read this touching story in the Book of Philemon:
Philemon 1:17-19 (NKJV) – “If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me. [18] But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account. [19] I, Paul, am writing with my own hand. I will repay–not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides.”
This story always blesses me! Did you know this is what Jesus did for me and you? He took all the wrong thoughts and deeds we had committed against our great God—and put them on His own account. Then He paid that debt by His death on the cross. How could we keep from loving such a wonderful Savior!
Lord, thank You for paying the debt I owed that was impossible for me to pay. The receipt that proves You have paid my debt in full are the many scars on Your hands, Your feet, Your face, and Your back. All I can say is, “THANK YOU!”
