Devotional: Day 982

Greetings,

Three things will largely determine where you’ll be five years from now: the books you read, the friends you keep, and the thoughts you think. The first two will determine the last one—that’s the thoughts you think:

Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV) – “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.”

Since close friends tend to greatly influence our lives, we must be very careful who we choose as our close friends. Most people want friends who will agree with their ideas and thoughts. They believe anyone who challenges their way of thinking is against them. But those who have a different perspective from us might actually be better friends than those who agree with everything we say or do.

Let’s choose our friends carefully. They are actually casting a vote on whether or not we will succeed in life!

Father God, surround me with people who will prove to be the right connection. Let them be divine relationships who will never steer me in the wrong direction. And let me be a wonderful friend to them, as well.

Today, I’m worshiping with Tasha Cobb Leonard and Paul Morton and “Show Us You.”

We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
