Greetings,
This horrific time of sadness and loss incurred by the murder of George Floyd and others has caused our nation to focus on the problem of racism. To begin, we must first accept these words of the psalmist:
Psalm 119:128 (NKJV) – “…. all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.”
According to the writer of this psalm, the bottom line must be this: God’s Word is the ultimate and accurate authority for all matters. When the teaching of God’s Word is not accepted as truth, it becomes the underlying cause of racism.
Racism, the belief that one race is superior to another, is the discrimination that arises from this false concept. Are we really that much different from one another? According to this scripture, I submit that racism could never be a biblical concept:
Acts 17:26 (NKJV) – “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.”
Lord, help us to accept Your Word as ultimate truth!
Today, I am worshiping with Hillsong and “Jesus I Need You.”
