Greetings,
There is a “hereafter!” Never let anyone convince you otherwise. Countless people who have died and been resuscitated confirm that life does not end when a person dies. It continues.
Proverbs 23:17-18 (NKJV) – “Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day; [18] For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off.”
For that reason, we should never envy the unrighteous, no matter how prosperous they seem to be in this life. After all, life is but a vapor that appears for a little while and is soon gone. Then we go to our eternal reward. Living for God has dividends now and later.
Jesus, I thank You for caring so much for me, that You are not only interested in my life here on earth, but in the hereafter too. My hope is secure—because of You! Help me always live with eternity in mind.
