Joshua 1:9
“Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Prayer: May our children be strong and courageous for You, God. Lord God, You are with us, You are with me. You are in the midst of our home and we can’t thank You enough for Your presence. God, on our own, we fail at this being strong and unafraid thing. By your might and grace alone, help us to trust You more with each passing day.
I ask you to help us, as parents, to live lives of absolute trust and surrender that all our children know to do is trust You. Make our marriage strong and let it be an example of how people can love and believe in each other. When our children are afraid – when we are afraid – remind us of Joshua’s story. Remind us of your presence. Remind us of your goodness. You are Emmanuel…God with us.
