Greetings,
I pray that you are well and recovering from the effects of this horrific winter storm. I’ve never seen anything like this in Houston. Like many in our city, my house was without power for 32 hours straight when temperatures went down to 10 degrees. Broken pipes, two inches of water in our house and buckled floors not withstanding, we are well and blessed though we had to huddle under blankets for several days. I did not even have phone service for most of this time, and couldn’t contact our members to make sure they were okay. By God’s Grace, we survived the worst of it.
Pipes at the church also froze and burst. Because we were without restrooms, health regulations would not allow us to open the church as a shelter. Fortunately the breaks were outside and did not damage the interior of the building. The water has now been restored and we are back up and running again at Inspire, praise God!
I don’t know about you but after all of this, I need to be in church. Floors in my house still have to be replaced but that won’t stop me from giving God the worship He deserves this weekend for getting us safely through this event.
Join me Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 am, and for Spanish Service at 2:15 pm.
Let’s meet with and minister to God. There is nothing like His Presence to calm the stresses caused by what we have endured. If you aren’t comfortable joining us for in-person services just yet, worship with us online at Inspire Church Houston on FaceBook, YouTube or our webpage.
Stay safe and warm. Don’t forget to observe all the health necessary precautions.
We love you and are praying for you. Be INSPIRED!
Pastor
