Greetings,
Do you enjoy giving God thanks for all that He has already done for us? Thanksgiving is an important part of our devotional life.
Gratitude is also a key to receiving even more of God’s generous blessings! We shouldn’t be like Israel who never seemed to learn this lesson. God delivered them from slavery, and brought them through the Red Sea—as if it was a paved highway, fed them manna from heaven, and supernaturally cared for them for 40 years in one of the most inhospitable places on earth. Yet, time and time again, they continued to complain until God finally said:
Deuteronomy 32:18 (NKJV) – “Of the Rock who begot you, you are unmindful, And have forgotten the God who fathered you.”
Had they been thankful, can you imagine how many additional blessings God would have showered upon them?
Father, I am thankful for all of Your many blessings! You have blessed me in ways too numerous to count. I could never thank You enough just for saving me. I know that couldn’t possibly have saved myself. You have protected and sustained me. Thank You!
