Greetings,
We read In 1 Peter 4:12-13 (NKJV) – “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; [13] but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”
Have you ever felt like the temperature around you just got hotter? Does it seem as though everything that could go wrong has? If not right now, I’m sure that we all have experienced this at times. The good news is, it doesn’t mean that God has forsaken us. He is still with us.
Rather than feeling that God has been unfair, why not look at it as an opportunity to share in Christ’s sufferings and give Him glory?
If you’ll continue to stand for God, He will show up for you! Let’s learn to rejoice in Him— even when we’re suffering. He gladly and willingly suffered for us.
Father, I pray that You will look upon us during those seasons when we are in fiery trials. We exalt You, for You are worthy of our devotion, both in the good times and the bad. Cover Your people, our nation, and our world. Turn our attention to You. Help us remember that we are not alone, and that You remain with us—even when the heat is on!
