Devotional: Day 2401

Greetings,

Psalm 46:1-2 (NKJV) declares, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. [2] Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.”

Did you read that? God is VERY PRESENT in times of trouble. When darkness surrounds us, we often question whether or not God is with us. The reason we can’t see Him, is because we find it difficult to see when it’s “dark.” That’s as true in the spiritual as it is in the natural.

But God doesn’t have a problem with night vision. In fact, some of His best work is done in the darkness. King Hezekiah went to bed one night really stressed about a huge army that had invaded Judah. So, he decided to pray and that night, God walked into the enemy’s camp and destroyed 185,000 warriors.  When the sun came up the next morning, the enemy was no more.

Daniel spent the night in a lion’s den; but in the darkness of the night, God worked for him by closing the mouths of the lions!

Thank You, my Savior, for You are always with me. You are a very present help in times of trouble and difficulty. Even when this earth encounters such turmoil that it seems entire mountain ranges will disappear into the ocean, Your Word says that You will not forget or forsake me. I can trust You to be there, making a way for me and giving me joy throughout the process. I worship You!

Today, I’m worshiping with Gateway and “We Bow Low.”
