Devotional: Day 2403

Greetings,

Concerning Israel, God said in Hosea 10:2 (NKJV) – “Their heart is divided; Now they are held guilty. He will break down their altars.”

Many believers in our day have divided loyalties. They love God, but they also love the things of this world. The Apostle John warned,

1 John 2:15 (NKJV) – “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

Does this verse mean that we should not enjoy the things that life has to offer? NO! Paul tells us:

1 Timothy 6:17 (NKJV) “God gives us all things richly to enjoy.”

Our Lord wants us to enjoy His blessings, but our greatest love should be reserved for Him. Nothing else should ever rival the devotion that we have for our Savior. What is the opposite of a divided heart? It’s a steadfast heart that loves God and is fully committed to Him.

Lord, I pray that my heart will be wholly devoted to You today and always. I want to love You with ALL my heart, soul, mind, and strength. You loved me enough to take my place on the cross. How could I ever love You less?

Today, I’m worshiping with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and “Total Praise.”
